Africa Day Celebrated in New York

Africa Day which is the celebration of the founding of the Organization for African Unity in 1963. The celebration started with a panel discussion at the United Nations headquarters on May 23rd, 2014. In the evening, guests were treated to a buffet at the Hammerstein Ballroom with over sixty dishes. There was also a display of beautiful African culture in dance and music. Guest at the event included U.N Secretary General Ban ki moon and several African diplomat. This year's event was tagged 'Year of Agriculture and food security'
